On the 15th and 16th of April 2021 the first edition of the seminar “The Role of Administrative Judge in the State”, organised under the EJTN Administrative Law Portfolio Offer, took place as two-mornings online seminar.
Experts and participants discussed together about the Role of the Administrative Judge as national Judge and as a supernational role, the state liability for judicial breaches of EU Law and the dialogue and interaction between the instance courts at national level as well as the relation between the national instance courts and the European Courts.
The discussion has been also focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence for a digital justice and as a potential autonomous decision-maker as well as the freedom of expression of Judges and their personal use of social media.
The webinar was attended by 40 participants, representing 12 European Union Member States and Ukraine and Georgia who interactively participated to the event!
7 Experts, coming from the Judiciary and the Academia leaded the presentations, guiding participants and stimulating the exchange of knowledge and best practices among colleagues.
EJTN is glad to announce the success of this first training on this new topic, considered as a core for Administrative Judges! Considering this type of discussions essential for the role of the European Administrative Judiciary, further editions of this event will certainly take place in the future
