Two day training focused on the freedom of expression and its possible interactions with the judiciary (Article 10, article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights).
This training will combine theoretical lectures with practical workshops and will allow participants to address issues ranging from the freedom of expression on subjects related to the judiciary to freedom of expression of members of the judiciary. Another relevant issue will be the freedom of expression in the digital era. The sessions will be led by academics, European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) officials, trainers and practitioners in the field of EU human rights.
The training will serve as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practices between judges and prosecutors from across the EU. Participants are expected to have some background knowledge of the subject.
