Description:
One-day-and-a-half training based on a ‘learn-by-doing’ methodology. Presidents of Courts and Chiefs of Prosecution Offices from all EU member States plus Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo will be involved in a series of practical workshops addressing the crucial role of Judges and Prosecutors in upholding the rule of law in practice, working on case scenarios inspired by real facts. The seminar will address the UN, Council of Europe and European Union standards on the Rule of Law, the role of Presidents of Courts and Chiefs of Prosecution Offices can play to safeguard those standards in the work environment and vis-à-vis other state powers. Participants will be assisted by international and national experts, from the academia as well as practitioners.
