Day-and-a-half training on the legal framework and key jurisprudential developments in the field of EU asylum law and policy.
This training will combine practical workshops with framework lectures focused on central issues arising from the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, the assessment of country of origin information (COI), and the standards for the assessment of the credibility of asylum claims. In small breakout groups, participants will analyse practical case-studies inspired by real facts and exchange views on national approaches to the treatment of asylum claims and the application of the relevant EU and international law.
The sessions will be led by practitioners and academics in the field of EU human rights and asylum law and will serve as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practices between practitioners from the different EU Member States.
