Course Description

The seminar offers an overview of the principles emerging from the main international documents including the Bangalore Principles (2001), the Opinion no. 3 of the CCJE on ethics and responsability of judges (2002), the London Declaration on Judicial Ethics (2010) promoted by the ENCJ and the Recommendation R(2010)12 of 17 November 2010 of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers on judges: independence, efficiency and responsabiities. Moreover, the seminar offers a insight of the different dimensions of impartiality through a careful analysis of the reference rules.
