Linguistics programme has just started its last seminar of this year. The seminar is being hosted by the German Judicial Academy in a beautiful location – a chateau built in the 18th century on the bank of the Ruppiner lake.
50 participants came to this oasis of calm surrounded by nature to improve their legal language skills in German and English focusing on the important field of human rights.
This year linguistics visited 11 different countries in order to train 435 judges and prosecutors in its usual programme and 135 trainee judges and prosecutors in the Summer School linguistics programme. Participants came from 25 different countries with the aim to improve either their English, French or German legal language skills. For the first time this year, linguistics offered a specialised seminar in tax law and a week-long seminar focusing on cooperation in family law.
