Course Description

The passing of Law 4/2011 of 24 March modifying the Civil Procedure Act in order to facilitate the implementation of European orders for payment and small claims procedures in Spain is an important milestone in the development of European procedural law and worthy of a seminar that focuses on these two EU credit-protection instruments. There is a wide variety of problems affecting jurisdiction, processes, notices, the calculation of terms, appeals and enforcement associated with said procedures which should be analysed. In addition, the Spanish order for payment procedure has been subject to significant amendments that will also be examined in the seminar.
