Experts from youth criminal proceedings – the public prosecutor in the youth court, the youth court judge and representatives from the youth courts assistance service – will present their work, explain the legal bases and offer practice-orientated help.
The question of the criminal maturity and criminal responsibility of juveniles and young offenders will be dealt with by an adolescent psychiatrist.
A visit to the youth detention centre in Berlin is intended to provide an insight into the problems involved in the execution of youth penalty. These interrelated topics will be complemented by an outline of the tasks of the youth court judge at the place of detention.
Finally the youth court judge in his function as judges protecting minors will be presented and in particular the video examination will be dealt with.
